WHERE IS THE MAIN IDEA???

Assalamualaikum u alls,,hiihi today we learn about MAIN IDEA,,

the main idea of a passage is the thought that is the present from the beginning to the end,,

In finding main idea,ask yourself

• What idea is common to most of the text?
• What is the idea that relates the parts to the whole?
• What opinion do all the parts support?

you can find the direct MAIN IDEA,, for example:

Sleep problems can be avoided if you follow a few simple guidelines. First, don't drink alcoholic beverages or drinks with caffeine before bedtime. Next, do not exercise within three hours of bedtime. Finally, plan a sleep routine. Every day, go to bed at the same time and get up at the same time.

it also have an implied MAIN IDEA,,for example:

A backswimmer has a rounded back and it's underside is flat. When it floats on its back it's look like a little boat. It rows itself along in the water using its two hind legs like oars. The backswimmer spends most of its time upside down.

IMPLIED means you have to figure main idea out by yourself

 after we make some exercise of MAIN IDEAS we sit in the group,,

as usual we divided into 5 group and at least 5 members in group,,

after that Miss Zu show us a short movie of PETRONAS,,

we have to understand the movie and conclude what is the MAIN IDEA from that movie,,

and then wrote the main idea at A4 paper and,,

each of group show their main idea to all of members in class,,first short movie,,

After we saw the movie,Miss Zu give 15 minutes and we wrote the main idea,,

and group KHADIJAH is the best idea,,

this is my group's main idea for both movie,,my members is manda,fatin,me,suhana and mimi,,
event our main idea are not right but we have do the best,,
and know how to find an implied main idea...
